Black Velvet

Fueled by talent, friendship, and the drive to express ourselves, Black Velvet is more than just a band. We are a community. Every rehearsal, every performance, and every original song is a celebration of what’s possible when creativity meets purpose.

Meet the Band

We Are Black Velvet

Born from the MARC Therapies community, our music is a reflection of resilience and connection, crafted by individuals with traumatic brain injuries who refuse to be defined by limitations. We play with heart, we perform with pride, and we do it together.

Singles That Tell Our Story

Black Velvet’s singles showcase the heart and range of our band. Window Pain blends reggae soul vocals with a strong guitar-driven base, offering a heartfelt reflection on feeling misunderstood. I Got Money (Popcorn Money) is a weekend-ready pop anthem about enjoying the freedom to spend money the way you want after a long week. Make It Work carries an R&B groove that leans into themes of adaptability and determination, capturing the spirit of pushing forwards no matter the odds. Our latest track, MARC the Spot (Saucy Saucy), brings an energetic burst of personality and flair, using food, fun and rhythm to show that wellness and community can go hand in hand.
